Do you have a brother or
sister with a disability?
Brothers and sisters have the longest lasting relationship in a
family. Together they share joys and concerns and ups and
downs throughout their lifetimes. But when someone has a
brother or sister with a disability, the dynamics can change or
be different than other brother/sister relationships.
Often siblings do not have the peer support that is available to
their parents. Sibshops created by Don Meyer,
Director of the Siblings Support Project in Seattle, Washington,
and sponsored by the disAbility Resource Center (dRC), provide
siblings with peer support through an interactive day of games
and activities.
Two Sibshops are offered for
siblings in May at the dRC:
May 10th, 6:30pm-8:30pm
is a 奴 and Movie?night for
siblings
in the 6th
through 8th grades
and
May 18th, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
a Sibshop will be offered for
children
in the 1st
through 5th grades.

$5 per child or $10 per

REGISTRATION?
Registration is needed
at least 2 days prior to the event.

siblings to hold workshop
